Welcome to St Peter's

St Peter's Anglican church is a historic building lying on the edge of Fairfield Common, to the north of the spa town of Buxton. To find out how to get here, click here.

St Peter's is a traditional church serving the needs of the people of this Church of England parish. Our aim is to worship God, and proclaim his Son, Jesus Christ, making them known to those who live and work round about us. We try to meet the needs of both the congregation and the diverse community in which we are set.

Our Sunday worship is usually Eucharistically centred. This means that our most important service as a rule is Holy Communion, which happens here most weeks. We also have a monthly family orientated service which is particularly suitable for young families who aren't used to coming to church. We also provide a full range of additional services, including baptisms, weddings and funerals  to all who need them. Our activities reach out to as wide a range of ages as possible, and we have strong links with our Church controlled school, Fairfield Junior School.
